Andrejs Vlascenko was born in East Germany, where his father served in the Soviet army. He moved back into the
Soviet Union with his family and grew up in Latvia. He is twice Latvian Champion, 1992 and 1994 and placed 8th in
Junior Worlds 1993, representing Latvia. In 1994 Vlascenko moved to Germany where he currently lives and
trains.
