Laetitia Hubert has seen many ups and downs in her career. For example just one week before beating World
Champion Tara Lipinski in Paris (Trophee Lalique 1997), she had finished last in Gelsenkirchen (Sparkassen Cup).
She began skating at three, when her parents took her to the rink to skate with them because they couldn't find a
babysitter. Hubert has undergone numerous operations on her knee and foot but still is in pain when skating. She
missed most of the 1999/2000 season because of her injuries. Hubert got married in summer 2000. Hubert
entered her first Worlds in 1990, placing 21st. She has also competed in 4 Olympics, best place 12th, Albertville
1992.
