| Laetitia Hubert has seen many ups and downs in her career. For example just one week before beating World |
| Champion Tara Lipinski in Paris (Trophee Lalique 1997), she had finished last in Gelsenkirchen (Sparkassen Cup). |
| She began skating at three, when her parents took her to the rink to skate with them because they couldn't find a |
| babysitter. Hubert has undergone numerous operations on her knee and foot but still is in pain when skating. She |
| missed most of the 1999/2000 season because of her injuries. Hubert got married in summer 2000. Hubert |
| entered her first Worlds in 1990, placing 21st. She has also competed in 4 Olympics, best place 12th, Albertville |
