| Lang began skating when she was eight years old after seeing Ice Capades. She danced as a member of the |
| Grand Rapids Michigan Ballet Company. Lang aspires to be a veterinarian. The athletes she admires most are |
| 1998 Olympic Champion Tara Lipinski and Steve Yzerman of the Detroit Red Wings. Tchernyshev began skating at |
| age of six, but had to give up his single carreer when he was 18, because of an injury, that put an end to the |
| jumping. His grandfather was a four-time Soviet Figure Skating Champion in singles (1936-1939). Tchernyshev had |
| looked for a new partner and emigrated to the USA. Tchernyshev received his US citizenship in January 2001. The |
| couple was forced to miss the 2002 ISU Grand Prix Events due to injury (Lang). |
