Bradley began skating at the age of 2. His sister Becky and his parents also were figure skaters, and his sister is now coaching. She is part of his coaching team. He also competed in pairs from 1996 to 1998 with Tiffany Vise. In the 2010/11 season, Bradley only returned to competition for the U.S. Nationals in January 2011 and claimed his first national (senior level) title. In February 2010, Bradley went to a dance class and broke the fifth metatarsal in his left foot.
