Hoffmann/Elek are the second ice dance couple of Hungary to medal at Junior World Championships (silver in
2003 and 2004) after Judit Peterfy/Csaba Balint took the silver in 1980. They are also the first Hungarian ice dance
couple to medal at an ISU Championship since Krisztina Regöczy/Andras Szallay won Worlds in 1980. Elek's
younger brother György is also competing internationally in ice dancing.
