Bazarova/Larionov teamed up in 2005. Bazarova had moved from Ekaterinenburg to Perm as a 12-year-old to skate pairs. Larionov lived in Tashkent in Uzbekistan as his father was serving in the Russian Army and took up skating there. He later moved back to Novosibirsk and went to Moscow for skating before moving to Perm. Bazarova/Larionov look up to 2002 Olympic Champions Elena Berezhnaia/Anton Sikhuralidze.
