Papadakis/Cizeron are the first ice dancers to break 200 points (Cup of China 2017). The couple has moved to Canada for training in 2014. Papadakis' mother is a figure skating coach and was part of their coaching team. Coaches Marie-France Dubreuil/Patrice Lauzon are the 2006 and 2007 World silver medalists, competing for Canada. The couple missed the first half of the 2015/16 season as Papadakis was recovering from injury (concussion). They only competed in one Grand Prix event in 2018 as he suffered from back pain.
