Scimeca/Knierim are bronze medalists in the Team Event at the 2018 Olympic Games. They teamed up in 2012. Scimeca competed in singles until 2009 before switching to pair skating. Scimeca/Knierim have performed the quad twist in competition (since 2015 National Championships). They got married to each other in June 2016. The couple missed the first half of the 2016/17 season as she underwent surgery. Coaches Jenni Meno and Todd Sand are three-time World Pairs medalists (bronze in 1995 and 1996, silver in 1998).
