Paganini competed for the USA at the international level until 2016. Her father is Swiss, her mother is Dutch. Her two brothers Kevin (two years older) and Mario (two years younger) play ice hockey. Paganini switched coaches in May 2020 and moved to Switzerland. In summer 2022 she changed coaches again and relocated to Germany.
