Reed/Ambrulevicius teamed up in spring 2017. They are the first Lithuanian Ice Dancers to win a Grand Prix medal in 12 years (after Isabella Tobias/Deividas Stagniunas won bronze at 2011 Skate America). Reed's older siblings Cathy and Chris competed at the Olympic level in Ice Dance, representing Japan. Chris continued to compete with Kana Muramoto until 2018. Reed competed for Georgia and Israel with her former partners.
