Peters is the first skater to represent Ireland at an ISU Championship (2009 European Championships). She moved to the USA for better practice conditions in 2006. Peters was born in Germany as her parents were working there, and moved back to Ireland when she was 18 months old. Peters also lists Jeff DiGregorio and Kat Arbour as her coaches.
