Reed/Reed are brother and sister. Their mother is Japanese and their father American. They decided to compete for Japan after winning the U.S. novice ice dance title in 2006. They teamed up in 2001. Their younger sister Allison is an ice dancer as well and competed at the international level, representing Georgia. Reed/Reed switched coaches in winter 2010.
